This feature is especially beneficial when identical items need to be engraved with different designs, as it guarantees the engraving position is precisely defined in advance with each application.
Markers can be added in various ways:
- You may define an exact position of the marker (as shown in the video) by inserting the proper coordinates of where you're positioning the material. When the crosshairs appear, the job can be placed in the center of or either corner of the crossharis. Watch the Video of how it works!
- Add the marker to a job that is already positioned on the plate, (Marker to the Job).
- Add the marker to the equivalent position of where the laser head is currently located, (Marker to the Laser).

The Markers are excellent for doing multiple jobs. When I had to engrave many small pieces with different designs I used the markers to make sure positioning was dead on each time.
ReplyDeleteMarkers were great in my previous version of Trotec, once placed they did not move when you clicked on the job to reposition the job only the job was selected and it worked fine. Now if i happen to be zoomed out and try the same task i can move the marker under the job! What The? all i can do is abort the job close and not save the plate, reload and zoom in and be carfull how i place the jobs.
ReplyDeleteI would like to see a way to LOCK the markers and guide lines, maybe add a plate option to lock set markers & guides.
Is this fixed in version 10 ????
Hi Trophy Store,
ReplyDeleteWhen you're moving the job make sure you don't have the marker selected as well.
If it is not selected, contact your local technical support team and they can trouble shoot the problem... As this should happen with any version of JobControl that has the Job Markers feature.
If you have any questions, please let us know.
